Great small-town BBQ place! I’ve travelled to Nashville and Memphis (Texas BBQ all the way!) and this place holds its ground. I would skip the chicken fried steak! The Mac n cheese and curly fries are GREAT! The atmosphere is nice and comforting and you simply can’t beat the sweat tea.

I was briefly in Louisiana and was close enough to Texas to cross the border. This was literally the first place I could go grab a bite. I don't know how authentic or good this is compared to regular Texas food, but for what it was, it was very good. I'd probably go back if I could. My brother and I each got something different so we could try the other sides. It has great flavor and wasn't too heavy. Place is quaint, with extremely warm and friendly service. I'm glad I shad the experience.prices are great too.

Despite being right off the interstate and out of the main part of the town of Waskom, it still has more of a hometown diner to it than it does a traveler's stop as on my visit several people came and went that seemed to know the staff pretty well. That's not a good or bad thing, jut what it is. Staff was friendly and do try to make you welcome upon entry. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, and overall give the food about 3 stars. The pork itself was decent but far from the best I've had. Sauce was good. Potato salad had a gritty texture and lacked a sharp flavor. It wasn't a bad flavor, but I probably wouldn't order it again. In retrospect I probably should have ordered catfish as that seemed to be what everyone else was ordering. But I'm not a catfish fan. But I will say those that ordered it looked satisfied. For now it's 3-stars, I'll go back eventually to give other item's a try.

Neat and clean. We had the catfish and the ribs. It was good. Waitress was picking her teeth...

Absolutely amazing food and service, this is definitely a place worth trying if you enjoy great food, we had catfish and barbeque brisket both were great including all the sides beans are perfectly cooked in very tasty sauce, coleslaw is on the sweet side which is how we love it, picked tomatoes outstanding, and we had peach cobbler for dessert also amazing. Will definitely stop here again when passing by. Sincerely; Jill M
